PR Newswire

GREENVILLE, S.C., Sept. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — TPM today announced the sale of ColorLab through a management-led acquisition, with longtime ColorLab Vice President Dustin Batson acquiring the company and assuming ownership. Batson will continue leading the business alongside the existing team, with the backing of Cowart Awards, a longtime Greenville business, neighbor and trusted partner of TPM.

The sale is part of TPM’s long-term strategic vision, allowing the company to accelerate its investment in software, digital solutions and emerging technologies, including TrebleHook and its AI based solutions, while positioning ColorLab for continued growth under the leadership that helped build its success.

For customers, it is business as usual. The same team, service, and production capabilities remain in place. Existing projects, billing processes and day-to-day operations will continue without interruption, ensuring a seamless transition.

The transition reflects TPM’s strategy of positioning each business for long-term success under the leadership best equipped to guide its future. By transitioning ColorLab to the leader who helped build its reputation, the company gains the flexibility of independent ownership while maintaining the culture, expertise and customer-first approach that have defined its success.

“ColorLab has become an exceptional business because of the people behind it,” said Chris Fay, President of TPM. “Dustin has been instrumental in building the company into what it is today, and we have complete confidence in his leadership. This transition positions ColorLab for continued growth while allowing TPM to remain focused on our long-term strategic vision. We’re proud of what we’ve built together and excited to see them flourish.”

As an independent company, ColorLab will continue investing in its people, expanding its creative and production capabilities and developing new ways to help customers bring brands and spaces to life.

“This is an exciting milestone for our team and our customers,” said Dustin Batson, part-owner of ColorLab. “While our ownership structure is changing, everything our customers value about ColorLab remains the same. We’ll continue delivering the service and creativity our customers expect while investing in the future of ColorLab.”

At the end of September ColorLab is also relocating to a brand-new space at 910 Laurens Road, Greenville, SC 29607, directly across the street from its current facility. Updated billing and remittance information will be shared directly with customers.
